On Friday 9th and 16th May 2024, 5B took part in Level 1 and 2 Bikeability courses. The Bikeability course ran by BikeRight as part of Sandwell MBC’s vision to teach children to ride a bike to National Standards and introduce them to cycling as an everyday, fun, healthy activity and an alternative mode of transport.  5B had a fantastic time learning and experiencing the importance of road safety when riding their bikes.  After the course some children said, ‘I enjoyed the experience of being on the road, I learned the importance of using my vision to keep ourselves safe on the road’, ‘I learned the importance of being safe on the road, especially ‘U turns’, ‘Conversation, observation, priority and position are the 4 main areas to keep safe on the road’, ‘I learned that having good balance will help me ride a bike.’  A big thank you to the BikeRight staff for putting on this award.
