On Friday 21^st June and 5^th July 2024, Year 5R took part in Level 1 and 2 Bikeability courses. The Bikeability courses ran by BikeRight as part of Sandwell MBC’s vision to teach children to ride a bike to National Standards and introduce them to cycling as an everyday, fun, healthy activity and an alternative mode of transport.  Year 5S had a fantastic time learning and experiencing the importance of road safety when riding their bikes.  After the course some children said, ’I enjoyed how we were able to ride a bike safely on the roads’, ‘I was super excited to ride a bike and now I ride my bike more regularly’, ‘It has allowed me to ride my bike more regularly and understand how to stay safe on the road’.  A big thank you for BikeRight staff for putting on this award.
