Year 5S Bikeability Award

Dear Parent(s)/ Guardian(s),

  We are delighted to announce Year 5S on Friday 1^st March 2024 and Friday 8^th March 2024 will be taking part in a Bikeability course ran by BikeRight as part of Sandwell MBC’s vision to teach children to ride a bike to National Standards and introduce them to cycling as an everyday, fun, healthy activity and an alternative mode of transport. At the end of the award the children will gain a certificate of recognition for their effort and achievement and this will be awarded during a Celebration Assembly.

  If your child doesn’t have a bike or helmet please can you let Mr Holday or a member of the office staff know, as the school can provide a bike and helmet for the day(s).  The Bike and Helmet will be cleaned after every use and only the child will be able to use this equipment during the day. 

  All other information can be found on the accompanying document overleaf to this letter.  Please can you sign the consent form and bring back to the office ASAP.
