Year 5 Bikeability Report
On Friday 1st and 8th March 2024, Year 5S took part in Level 1 and 2 Bikeability courses. The Bikeability courses ran by BikeRight as part of Sandwell MBC’s vision to teach children to ride a bike to National Standards and introduce them to cycling as an everyday, fun, healthy activity and an alternative mode of transport. Year 5S had a fantastic time learning and experiencing the importance of road safety when riding their bikes. After the course some children said, ‘I had lots of fun riding a bike’, ‘I enjoyed Bikeability and learnt how to signal and perform a U turn’, ‘I enjoyed Bikeability and learning lots of new things on my bike’, ‘I learnt how to ride safely on the playground.’ A big thank you for BikeRight staff for putting on this award.
